Outward Bound Atlanta was established in 1990 as an extension of North Carolina Outward Bound. The mission of OBA is to inspire young people through challenging experiences to build confidence, compassion and community. Through our programs in schools, we deliver a continuum of experiential education programs reaching nearly 4,500 students at critical junctures in their academic careers, providing them with the tools and skills needed to succeed in and, ultimately, graduate from high school. Experiential learning embodies the key values of Outward Bound: self-reliance, craftsmanship, physical fitness and compassion.
